UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently engaged in discussions with Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, in Abu Dhabi. The talks aimed at enhancing the cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan, focusing on various sectors to bolster bilateral ties.
The meeting primarily concentrated on broadening the scope of collaboration in economic, financial, educational, and agricultural sectors among others. Both nations are keen on supporting shared development goals as they seek to build a stronger partnership.
In recent years, the UAE and Uzbekistan have intensified their relationship through a series of agreements that promote cooperation and exchange of expertise. These agreements cover crucial areas such as government modernization, investment, trade, food security, and infrastructure development.
A significant milestone in their partnership was achieved in January 2025 when the two countries formalized a strategic partnership agreement in Abu Dhabi. This agreement was signed by senior officials from both governments, marking a deeper commitment to their collaborative efforts.
The latest discussions underscore the ongoing commitment of both the UAE and Uzbekistan to expand their economic and diplomatic relations and to explore new avenues for cooperation, reflecting a mutual interest in fostering a robust partnership.
