Unsettled Weather Forecast in UAE: Rain, Fog, and Dust Expected

Published:

The United Arab Emirates is poised to experience a period of unsettled weather over the next five days, with forecasts predicting a mix of rain, fog, and dusty winds in various regions. This changing weather is attributed to surface and upper-air low-pressure systems impacting the area.

On Saturday, October 17, convective clouds are anticipated to form over eastern parts of the UAE in the afternoon, potentially bringing rainfall. The weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy, with inland temperatures ranging from 37°C to 42°C, coastal areas experiencing 35°C to 40°C, and mountainous regions seeing temperatures between 28°C and 33°C.

The weather pattern is expected to continue on Sunday, October 18, with possible rain in northern and eastern areas as clouds develop in the afternoon. Overnight, humidity levels are projected to rise, leading to conditions conducive to fog or mist in coastal and inland regions by Monday morning.

On Monday, October 19, rain may occur in eastern and southern areas, while fog or mist could appear in some western regions overnight into Tuesday morning. Winds are expected to reach speeds of up to 40 km/h, potentially raising dust in exposed areas.

Similar weather conditions are forecast for Tuesday, with convective clouds possibly bringing rain to eastern and southern parts of the UAE. Winds may intensify to 50 km/h at times, causing blowing dust.

By Wednesday, October 21, the skies are anticipated to remain fair to partly cloudy, with another chance of afternoon rain in eastern and southern areas. Increased humidity overnight could result in fog or mist on Thursday morning in coastal and inland locations.

Residents and motorists are advised to remain vigilant due to reduced visibility caused by fog, mist, and blowing dust, particularly during early mornings and overnight hours.
