UAE Fuel Prices Likely to Rise Again in November Due to Higher Oil Costs

Published:

Motorists in the United Arab Emirates may see another rise in petrol and diesel prices in November as global oil costs continue to surge. Recent increases in Brent crude, which climbed above $110 per barrel, and US West Texas Intermediate nearing $100, have been fueled by escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and ongoing concerns about oil transportation, putting pressure on international energy markets.

This potential increase follows a significant hike in UAE fuel prices in October, where petrol rates rose by nearly 16% compared to the previous month. The UAE adjusts its fuel prices monthly, based on international market trends, suggesting that continued high crude oil prices could impact November’s pricing.

In September, fuel prices in the UAE were set at Dh3.80 per litre for Super 98 petrol, Dh3.69 for Special 95, and Dh3.61 for E-Plus 91, with diesel priced at Dh4.30 per litre. These rates represent a considerable rise from February’s prices, which were Dh2.59 for Super 98, Dh2.48 for Special 95, Dh2.40 for E-Plus 91, and Dh2.72 for diesel.

As global oil prices remain volatile, there is growing concern among UAE motorists about potential additional fuel expenses. The exact pricing for November will be determined by the market conditions evaluated in the monthly pricing review. The official announcement of the UAE’s November fuel rates is anticipated towards the end of October, leaving uncertainty over whether petrol prices will surpass the Dh4 per litre mark or increase further.
