UAE Faces Rising Temperatures, Humidity During Eid Al Adha Holiday

Published:

As the UAE approaches the Eid Al Adha holiday, residents can expect hotter temperatures and humid nights, according to forecasts from the National Center of Meteorology. The upcoming week is predicted to be mainly fair to partly cloudy, with a gradual increase in temperatures signaling the onset of summer.

The start of the holiday period will see a slight dip in temperatures on Sunday, with the possibility of fog or mist forming in some western and coastal regions during the night and early morning. However, the heat is expected to intensify from Monday, aligning with the beginning of the Eid break for government workers.

During the holiday, temperatures may soar to around 43°C in Al Ain and 41°C in Fujairah. Light to moderate winds are anticipated, occasionally reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h. Coastal areas, in particular, will experience higher humidity levels at night and early in the morning, though sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are predicted to remain calm.

The rising temperatures mark a shift towards the UAE’s summer season following a relatively mild spring. In recent weeks, several regions have already seen temperatures climb above 40°C. The official start of summer in the northern hemisphere is set for June 21.
