Rain and Dust Expected in UAE with Temperatures Reaching 40°C

Published:

Rain is expected to sweep across various regions of the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, as strong winds and blowing dust accompany the weather conditions. Inland areas may experience temperatures soaring up to 40°C, according to forecasts.

The weather will range from fair to partly cloudy, with convective clouds forming over northern, eastern, and southern areas, potentially leading to rainfall. Winds are anticipated to be light to moderate, occasionally intensifying to fresh or strong, which could lead to raised dust. Wind speeds could vary between 10 to 25 km/h, peaking at 45 km/h in some inland regions and 40 km/h in mountainous areas.

Temperature predictions indicate a range between 35°C and 40°C in inland regions, 33°C to 37°C along coastal zones and islands, and 26°C to 32°C in mountainous areas. Overnight and into Wednesday morning, humidity levels are expected to rise, particularly in some coastal and inland areas, increasing the likelihood of fog or mist.

Maritime conditions in the Arabian Gulf are forecast to be slight to moderate, while the Oman Sea is anticipated to remain slight. The unsettled weather pattern could persist through Saturday, influenced by a surface low-pressure system and a weak upper-level low-pressure system. On Wednesday, rain-bearing clouds might develop over northern and eastern areas, with winds possibly reaching speeds of 50 km/h. Additional rainfall is likely in eastern and southern regions on Thursday, predominantly in eastern areas on Friday, and across eastern and northern areas on Saturday.

Fog or mist formation is a possibility overnight and during the early morning hours in certain coastal and inland areas, particularly in western regions.
