As global energy markets continue to face uncertainty, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed has underscored the pivotal role of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in ensuring stable energy supplies. During a meeting at ADNOC’s headquarters, Sheikh Khaled, who chairs the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, evaluated the company’s operational and financial performance. He emphasized the necessity of maintaining a reliable energy supply amidst recent challenges in maritime navigation in the region.
Sheikh Khaled directed ADNOC to enhance its stature as an integrated energy company by streamlining its production, trading, and logistics operations. He highlighted the importance of operational flexibility and integrated capabilities to meet the evolving demands of customers effectively. The meeting also served as a platform for Sheikh Khaled to be updated on ADNOC’s global liquefied natural gas (LNG) marketing and trading platform, which was launched in July. This initiative is set to expand ADNOC’s LNG capacity to 47 million tonnes per annum by 2030, thereby broadening supply options for customers and enhancing access to ADNOC’s expanding gas portfolio.
Prior to the meeting, Sheikh Khaled toured ADNOC’s emergency control centre. He met with employees and business continuity teams responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations during disruptions. This visit underscored the importance of maintaining operational resilience in the face of global energy challenges.
The discussions at the meeting were focused on reinforcing ADNOC’s capability to adapt to the shifting global energy landscape while ensuring the delivery of secure and dependable energy supplies to its customers. The Crown Prince’s directives aim to fortify ADNOC’s position as a leader in the energy sector, capable of navigating the complexities of the current market environment.
