In a significant meeting held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in discussions with Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah. The talks underscored the UAE’s unwavering commitment to supporting its citizens and propelling national development forward. Both leaders highlighted the centrality of Emirati citizens in the nation’s developmental strategy, emphasizing their critical role in realizing the UAE’s long-term goals. They also expressed hopes for continued security, prosperity, and progress within the United Arab Emirates.
Sheikh Hamad was accompanied by his son, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah. The meeting saw the presence of several high-ranking officials, including Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, along with Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. Also in attendance were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Dr Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, among other ministers and government officials.
The discussions were part of the UAE leadership’s routine consultations aimed at reassessing national priorities, enhancing cooperation among the emirates, and improving the quality of life for both citizens and residents. This meeting builds upon President Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to Fujairah in April, during which the two leaders toured Fujairah Port. They reviewed ongoing development projects and operational improvements at this crucial maritime gateway for the UAE.
Through these regular consultations, the UAE leadership aims to ensure that the nation remains on a path of sustainable growth and development. By focusing on the well-being of its citizens, the discussions reflect a commitment to fostering a unified and prosperous society. The engagement between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah serves as a testament to the ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships and collaboration across the emirates.
