UAE Denounces Iran’s Assaults on Jordan and Gulf Nations

Published:

The United Arab Emirates has issued a strong condemnation of Iran’s recent attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan, labeling them as a grave threat to the stability and security of the region. The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement denouncing these actions as a blatant infringement on the sovereignty of neighboring nations. The UAE also reiterated its unwavering support for the affected countries, emphasizing the importance of regional solidarity in the face of such aggression.

In addition to the aforementioned countries, the UAE’s foreign ministry also criticized the attacks targeting Iraq’s Kurdistan region, warning that these actions could exacerbate regional instability. The escalation comes amid an increase in military tensions involving Iran and the United States, heightening concerns about potential broader conflicts in the Middle East.

Kuwaiti officials reported that one of the Iranian strikes targeted a power and water desalination facility, resulting in a fire and significant damage to several electricity-generation units. The attack underscores the potential for critical infrastructure to be affected during these heightened tensions.

Meanwhile, Jordan’s military announced a successful interception of three Iranian missiles that had penetrated its airspace, with air defense systems destroying the projectiles before they could cause any harm. Fortunately, officials confirmed there were no injuries or material damage as a result of this incident.

Similarly, Bahrain’s armed forces reported that their air defense systems managed to intercept and neutralize multiple Iranian aerial threats, further highlighting the effectiveness of defensive measures taken by the countries involved. As the situation continues to evolve, the international community remains watchful of the implications these developments might hold for the region’s future security landscape.
